A little back story...Wyatt doesn't eat. Or rather, he has very definite tastes and food "rules". It's just another of his anxiety and OCD symptoms, and we deal with them as best we can (lots of hidden vegies in this house!). He pretty much lives on beige. Nuggets, fish fingers, chips, toast...nothing with colour. Or flavour.
This all went out the window while we were in England though. I have this theory that our little creature of habit was thrown SO far out of his comfort zone that he just threw caution to the wind and for 4 weeks, he was almost normal. To the point that I'm pretty sure family over there think we're making it all up, the way he usually is.
On one of our last nights there, we went for dinner an Interwok - a sort of combo Asian restaurant with a tepanyaki bar. Wyatt struck up a bit of a friendship with one of the chefs there, and the novelty of having someone cook whatever he asked for on the spot won out. His most outrageous choice was a plate of mussels!
He was so up to something...
And so proud of himself!
MmmMmmm yummy! (puke puke puke!)
And my favourite...the face says it all. He did it though. He ate a whole one! (lucky Grandpa got the rest)
Since we've been back, we keep giving him new foods to try, and everytime he tells us he can't eat it I remind him that if he can eat a mussel, he can eat anything!
So I hear it a lot... "Wish I never ate that stupid mussel" :o)

So there's NO way I could do this as one post. Mostly because it would be 500 photo's long, but also because I would just never get it done. I'm breaking it into small manageable goals (yes busted...I have been reading the weight watchers website :oP).
Part 1 - Gladstone to London. Check!

Notable moment... Steff took Saxon to the toilets in Dubai. He was standing next to a very large African man in full traditional dress and says in a typically loud 4 year old voice "Wow! That man has a gimornous winky!". Let's hope he doesn't speak English, shall we? lol
Stay tuned for Part 2...one day soon ;o)
