Once upon a time...

In a land far far away, there lived a king and a queen and their four beautiful children... Unfortunately they were way too boring to write about, so you're all stuck with the Dimmock's instead!

We're a bit of a fractured fairytale.I can't promise to update every day...I'm a bit slack like that (shhh), but I'll do my best to keep it up.

And they all lived happily ever after...well that's the plan at least :oP

Look who's all grown up!

Wyatt Zane had his first day of prep today. There were many tears. Thankfully none of them were Wyatt's!

He handled it very well actually...came home and told me that he had a good day, but he wouldn't be going back, thank you very much! He doesn't like wearing his shoes all day (at kindy they only needed to wear them to and from their classrom. They played in their bare feet all day). He asked me to buy him air-conditioned socks, but apparently they're broken :o(

It's like all of a sudden he's a big boy. He came home and made himself and Saxon a sandwich. I asked if I could help and he told me "No thank you Mummy. I have everything perfectly under control". *sniff* I want my baby back!

And one from the other day...

And with his monkey brother!

We'll be off to do it all over again tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Happy New Year!

Yeah ok...so it's 14 days old now, but I think we've already covered the fact that I'm a bit slow (shutup Stephan!).

Just a few from yesterday (the one of Gaige was actually Sunday, he wasn't with us yesterday). We took the kids to the Marina to take my 365 photo (the theme is "Sun" this week, in case you're interested).

Oh...and I have a new blog! It's my shiny new official "business" blog...and it's all grown up! I'm so pleased with it. It looks clean and fresh and professional (I think anyway), and it's so much more customizable than blogger. And check it out...attached to my website, so my URL's match :o) Yes...it's the simple things that excite me (obviously - I married Steff, right? Ha!). The only thing that I don't love about it is that I lost all my comments in the changeover *sniff*. And I had lots of lovely ones. So if you're bored...you could always head over there and comment on a few posts for me. It's here - Shiny new blog! The link is up the top on this blog as well. And from that blog, you'll find links to both my actual website and my 365 blog.

You really do need to keep up with all of them, because I don't always cross post - so you're more than likely missing out on lots of pics of the kids by only visiting one of them. And I update my biz blog more than this one (obviously because I'm a slacker), and my 365 is updated every. single. day. Without fail. And will be for the next 74 days. When I'll be finished. Hallelujah!

Anywho...enjoy your update :o)

Gaige...playing with backlighting. Which I love. Alot. Even though it's going to send me blind.

Grayson...proof she's a monster. She has tentacles!

Wyatt...needs a haircut I think.

Saxon...is just beautiful :o)

A little about us...ok, mostly me...

Hey there! I'm guessing that most people who drop by to visit us here already know who we are, but just in case...

My name's Nikki. I'm mum to 4 (yeah, 4...can you believe it? No, me either *shudder*) kids, aged from 16 down to 4. My husband, Steff, is originally from the UK - I stole him away from the cold and the damp to live in Central Queensland, where he must endure almost endless sunshine and blue skies. Somehow he manages ;o)

I started this blog as a way to keep family in England up to date with our comings and goings. And it lets me show off how cute the kids are getting!

A little about me...I'm a professional photographer, I'm obsessive about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, love Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse (only book Sookie, not True Blood Sookie. It's an important distinction!), (the 10th) Doctor Who, cupcakes, and Spuffy fanfic (although not necessarily in that order). I'm also an extreme perfectionist with a love of the creative and original, who has a very low tolerance for stupidity. If you ask my husband, he'll tell you I'm a huge snob - I'm really not. I just think I'm better than everyone else :oP (That's a joke, ok? Pretty much).

Oh, and please leave a comment to tell me how fabulous you think I am...it makes me write faster and more often ;o) No really...that part wasn't a joke...
